"My siblings and I went to Nepal without the intention of hiring a guide, and we were put off by all the high-pressure salespeople in Thamel. We'd decided to hike the Langtang trek and it seemed simple enough to do on our own.
Rustic Himalayan was set up near our hostel and we went over to ask about weather conditions. Rajat the first person to talk to us without being pushy. He discussed how a guide could be helpful, and would appreciate our business, but probably wasn't necessary for what we were planning.
In the end, we decided to hire a guide through Rustic and I'm really glad we did. Rajat made all the arrangements with very-short notice as we wanted to leave ASAP, and having a guide really was helpful when it came to public transportation. The guide was also able to talk to other guides and teahouse owners so we had a heads up when certain teahouses were shut down, areas were especially snowy, etc.
Rajat was also mindful of the experience we wanted to have and found a guide who fit well with the three of us. We met some other trekkers who didn't have a good experience, but by the end of the 14-day trek, we'd all become close friends and we went to visit the guide and his family back in KTM. While we could have definitely done it on our own, I'm really glad we wound up hiring a guide and grateful that we met Rajat and worked with Rustic Himalayan." -

Rajat was able to organize a last minute mountain bike trip for me in the Annapurnas, he set up and organized everything which was so nice of him since he was leaving on a 21-day trek of his own.
